During the global pandemic businesses worldwide were suffering from consequences of this disaster. Many businesses were forced to close down, where others tried to keep going, however had to give up at the end. Even years after the pandemic companies worldwide are still struggling to keep their head above the water. Obviously WMMC was also impacted by the pandemic, however, despite the impact of the pandemic we were able to succesfully help ourselves and others to 'survive' by re-strategizing our businesses, and we still continue to do so.

Whilst deeply impressed by the situation at the time and the magnitude of the impact, WMMC's CEO, Robert W. Cats was asked to support several companies helping them through these challenging times. It was in this support role where Mr. Cats introduced his new job title, 'WMMC Business Ambassador'. His experience working closley with different Ambassadors brought Mr. Cats to this idea and he explains it as " Where a country Ambassador represent his/her country and meet with fellow Ambassadors and Officials to discuss the country's position and interests, it is my job to represent my clients' Companies, meet with other business leaders and looking after the Companies' interests. But also negotiating (trade) deals, planning business missions and attending important (virtual) network events when necessary is part of my role".

Wouter van Vessem, born in The Hague, The Netherlands, started his career as real estate broker for an international operating company. Wout (as friends call him) promoted luxury villas and appartements to the ‘happy few’ throughout Europe and also in Turkiye. Being succesful in the real estate sector Wout felt like this was his destiny. However, with an entrepreneurial mindset Wout felt 'restricted' as employee. It was therefore no surprise that Wout decided to step into larger real estate and golf and leisure development projects.

Throughout his career Wout had built a worldwide professional network where he regularly is asked for his advice, hence why at a certain moment Wout also focussed on developing management consulting activities, which he still enjoys doing every day.

Pre-Covid, as co-founder Wout was involved in the start-up of a trendy restaurant, ‘Beach Club' in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. And as expected the place is still one of the most popular places 'to be' during a warm and sunny day.

Meanwhile Wout moved to Jávea, Spain where he has transformed a local plot of land into another unique ‘Beach Club’ and ‘place-to-be' for those looking for leisure in luxury’ whilst enjoying the amazing Spanish meditarenean climate.

Also Wout is engaged in several other hospitality and investment projects.

Dr. Mohammad Washid is a distinguished Strategy and Sustainability Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the corporate, consultancy, and academic sectors, out of which he spent more than 15 years in Middle East Oil and Gas industry. Dr. Mohammad has worked for QatarEnergy and SABIC (Saudi Arabia) am ongst several other corporates, where he assessed and advised leadership on global and regional matters related to oil, gas, petrochemical and emerging energy projects. Dr. Mohammad was also actively involved in identifying opportunities for competitiveness, strategic fit, project development and investment decisions.

In his academic career, Dr. Mohammad served as Dean and Associate Professor at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies in India and also filled the role of Assistant Professor at All India Management Association (AIMA) in India.

Currently, Dr. Mohammad serves as Director at MWC LLC, focusing on operations excellence and sustainable value creation by unlocking the business and human potentials. He has successfully organized the Business Continuity and Resilience Conference 2023 in Doha Qatar in collaboration with other stakeholders held in Doha.

Dr. Mohammad brings a wealth of experience in leveraging the exceptional blend of expertise across international governmental organization (GECF), industry-specific forums (World Petroleum Congress, GPCA, Gulf Downstream Association, Business Continuity & Resilience Network, (AIMA) and stakeholder engagements and driving impactful results through effective coordination, management and strategic networking.

He is also the active member of the Business Continuity and Resilience Network (BCRN), the Qatar, India Management Association (QIMA), and the Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC, Qatar).
